About Music Production for Women (MPW):
Music Production for Women (MPW) is a pioneering organization dedicated to empowering women in the music production industry. We offer a range of courses, workshops, and resources designed to make music production accessible and inclusive. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an organized and proactive Office Administrator to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
The Office Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of MPW’s daily activities. This position involves managing routine back-end tasks, providing first-line support to our students, and assisting the CEO, Xylo Aria, with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of internal communications and reports.
Student Support:
- Serve as the first point of contact for student queries via email, phone, or chat.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to student enquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new students, including course enrollment and resource distribution.
Personal Assistance to the CEO:
- Manage the CEO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Assist with personal tasks and errands as needed to support the CEO’s productivity.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Office Management:
- Maintain and organize digital files and databases.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
- Ensure smooth operation of virtual office tools and software.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of virtual and in-person events.
- Manage RSVPs, event logistics, and follow-up communications.
Qualifications and Traits:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role, preferably in a remote setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Access to a well performing laptop.
- Basic knowledge of music production.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to adapt to change within a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour as a first point of contact for students.
- Familiarity with the music industry knowledge is a plus!
Non - Essential but preferable skills
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva.
- Basic video editing abilities.
- Proficiency in a musical instrument.

- Successful candidates will then be invited to complete a short task based assignment
- Those who have been successfull through steps 1 and 2 will then be invited to an interview with MPW's Communications Manager
- The final interview will then be conducted by MPW CEO, Xylo Aria

Xylo Aria
Music Production for Women's CEO and Founder, Xylo Aria built MPW reflecting on her own experiences as a female artist. She was determined to create a platform to benefit other women taking their music career into their own hands, which she wished existed for her when she started.
Since starting MPW, Xylo has been named a Top 50 East London Innovator, been included on the SheSaidSo Alt 100 Power List, named an IABCA Young Professional of the Year Finalist and partnered with numerous global brands on projects and events including Distrokid, Focusrite, Ableton, Abbey Road Studios and many more. Through her leadership MPW has also been named a finalist in numerous awards such as the 2023 Busines xCellence Awards, and the 2022 Women's Business Awards.
In addition to her work with MPW, Xylo is also a Director and Treasurer for the Music Producers and Engineers’ Guild of Australia.
About Music Production for Women
At Music Production for Women, our mission is to empower and support women in the music production and technology space, where female representation is severely lacking. We aim to equip female musicians with the skills needed to navigate the music industry with confidence.
Through education, community support and inspiring role models we guide women through every stage of the music production and music release processes. Since our establishment in 2019, we have reached over 8,000 students from 120 countries worldwide. While our focus is on improving gender diversity, our classes are inclusive to everyone who would like to attend.
