About Music Production for Women

Music Production for Women was started with the hope to encourage and empower more women in the field of music production and technology, areas in which women are currently heavily under-represented.

Our aim is to give female musicians the skills necessary to take on the music industry with confidence and to help to guide them through every step of the process by providing education, community support, visible role models and encouragement.

Since it's inception in 2019 MPW has delivered classes to thousands of students across numerous countries around the globe. Although our aim is to improve gender diversity in music, our classes are open to everyone to attend.

Meet the Mastering Engineer

Natalie Bibby

Natalie is unique in that she was trained by all of Metropolis’s mastering engineers. She therefore has a breadth of mastering knowledge and experience that is rare for such a young engineer. Bringing a fresh mindset to the field and with a skill level beyond her years, Natalie is already making waves within the music industry. She has worked with an incredible array of artists including Lewis Capaldi, Jimmy Eat World, Shura, Portico Quartet, The Vaccines and Poppy Ajudha.

Coming from an extensive background of mixing and also as a self-producing artist, Natalie is both intuitive and technically minded. She inherently understands the methods and tools artists use to craft, edit and present their music; and is able to advise how they can get their mixes right before she masters them. Natalie prioritises making herself accessible to her artists and believes collaboration is how to achieve a master that isn’t clinical and remains true to the artist’s feel and vision.

She'll be bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience to this unique mastering workshop, and above all her focus and passion for helping artists bring their songs to the world at the highest standard possible!

 A Unique In-Person Opportunity

As part of this event we'll be inviting 12 of you to come to Metropolis Studios for a tour of the space, giving you a chance to see inside the studio where Adele, Dua Lipa, Little Mix, and many more have recorded! After the tour we'll head to the mastering studio to meet Natalie before the live-streamed mastering workshop begins.

To finish off the event, we'll host a networking session with drinks to give you all a chance to get to know each other and make some meaningful connections with other women and non-binary artists and producers in the industry!

Please note, these lucky people have now been chosen, but if you're just joining us now, we will see you online!
